Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition Launches Redesigned Website

The nonprofit Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition (HFSC) has redesigned its website, www.HomeFireSprinkler.org.  The commercial-free site is targeted primarily to three interest groups: the fire service, consumers and the homebuilding industry. It contains a wide range of information, videos and educational content to help the public understand the value of residential fire sprinkler systems.

HFSC revamped the site in order to better respond to the increasing volume of materials requests the educational organization receives daily.

“Fire departments, especially, are in great need of free home fire safety teaching tools that they can use without impact on their resources,” says HFSC communications manager Peg Paul.  “We have the materials that can help them extend their community education outreach and now those materials will be easier for everyone to access through our website.”

Paul says the focus of the redesign plan was to create a more user-friendly website for all HFSC’s constituents.  Navigation was one of the biggest changes. “We offer so many different types of sprinkler education materials that there was almost too much of a good thing.  Our new, more nimble navigation makes it simple for anyone to quickly locate our videos, brochures, customizable tools – whatever they need – and view, download or order them.”

In addition to a new look and feel, the new website offers a shopping cart feature that makes it convenient to review and place an order for hard copies of the materials (all HFSC materials are available at no cost).  Also new is an active link for supporters to make a donation to the HFSC, which is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Users can also share HFSC’s content via their favorite social marketing sites.
